The checking process was efficient and the pier crew set up the boat to our wishes. They also asked appropriate questions given that we wanted to sail overpowered with an unreefed mainsail, even though the gusts occasionally exceeded 20kts. The pier crew had an assistant in the water, which we haven’t experienced at other rental locations. This could be helpful for less experienced parties not used to sail smoothly all the way to a pier. Except for a loose tiller extension attachment, which was easily fixed, the boat was in excellent condition. This includes the sails, which had better shapes than those I’ve seen at other locations.

Billy navigated around the shallow sections of water and offered to anchor and let us swim.
